Request for Applications: Medical Student Research Opportunity

The Urology Care Foundation Summer Medical Student Fellowship program is designed to attract outstanding medical students to urologic research by engaging them in summer research fellowships alongside world-class urologic scientists. Awardees receive $4,000 stipends to support them during a ten-week mentored research experience.
One award is exclusively dedicated to a medical student who is of Indian descent. This fellowship is made possible by Nathirmal N. Lalchandi, MD.
Applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m. (ET) on January 5, 2023.

The IAUA is composed of more than 350 members including urologists, residents and fellows in urology training and other medical professionals who devote 75% of their professional practice to urology and are of Indian origin.

Our Mission

The Indian American Urological Association is an affiliate organization of the American Urological Association (AUA) that allows interaction of Indian urologists. IAUA provides education and surgical training through fellowship. IAUA’s goal is to represent all 600 Indian urologists practicing in the United States and to enhance and provide urological care through educational and charitable work not only in India but also in Southeast Asia and over the world.
